Profile
Angelica Lena
Angelica Lena is an Italian illustrator and animator. Art Director at Sentio Space, her work is notable for its use of colour and playful attitude.
Originally from Rome, Angelica Lena studied in London at Central St Martins where her illustrative style found its groove and she experimented with moving image. Below, The Jug, is her first animation, which she made while studying. Although rough around the edges, it’s still a joy.
On graduating, Angelica teamed up with Ivana Gloria and Eleonora Gambula to animate the titles for ‘Romanzo Famigliare’. The show was directed by her mother Francesca Archibugi. The Music composed by Battista Lena, her father.

Angelica’s illustrative style is imbued with craft and texture and a comic undertone. This portrait of John Oliver, a British comedian, captures that essence.
