How Corn Can Power Your Commute
We teamed up with BBC Storyworks to produce a short animation for POET (a bioethanol producer), explaining the sustainability benefits of using biofuel rather than fossil fuels.
Bioethanol is made using the humble corn plant, known as “nature’s solar panel”. It is a photosynthesis champion – brilliant at taking in sunlight, water and carbon dioxide and converting them into oxygen and energy.
We created a punchy, fast-moving animation that neatly explains what bioethanol is, how it is produced, and why it’s a whole lot better than burning fossil fuels. Our animation style incorporates clear shapes, bold colours, and imaginative transitions with an energetic sound track to get and hold the viewer’s attention, and to make the topic relatable.
The corn plant can be processed into bioethanol and added to gasoline, as well as being used in numerous products, including cosmetics and sanitisers. One day it could even be used to power planes and ships!
