Sentio Space x 2050cards

We developed 2050cards in house as a division of Sentio Space, before it became its own business in 2021. Now a growth startup, here are some tips we’ve picked up along the way.

1. Design a distinctive logo

We designed the 2050cards icon using a green heart as the founding concept. Green relates to being sustainable. The heart to relationship building.

For technology startups, icons are key. That’s the first impression you get on social media and in the app store.

2. Create a fast website

2050.cards is designed to feel like an app. It’s fast and built for purpose.

We built 2050.cards using the Flatsome Web Builder on WordPress, adding custom code for niche functionality. The site is hosted on WP Engine.

3. Be clear on how
your technology works

We worked hard to boil down how 2050cards works into four simple steps, and then visualised those steps using illustration.

Send it on at the right time

Once you have boiled down your service into a few distinct steps, you have a solid foundation for future communications.

4. Choose your defining statement

Although it can change over time, having a central thought for the brand helps get eveyone inside and outside the organisation on the same page.

A couple of assets well defined like this can be fed through the entire brand to give a consistent feel.

5. Master digital
advertising

We built out the visual assets for 2050cards and managed the advertising spend through Google and Facebook. Once we had the customer acquisition cost down to below a year’s subscription, the business became promising.

If you are a tech company, the likelihood is that you are going to have to master digital advertising to get the business to fly.

6. Use video testimonials

In a world where it is hard to get trust online, having a few video testimonials goes a long way.

We added a little flourish to user generated testimonial videos at 2050cards, in the form of an animated border and swirl, so that they feel a little more bespoke.

7. Create a team spirit

Starting a business is hard.

8. Add an animated explainer video to your homepage

A well produced video lends gravitas to the organsiation and helps to build trust

We created this explainer video for 2050cards in square and horizontal format, so that it can sit comfy on the 2050.cards and on social media.

9. Stay on top of digital trends

We stay abreast of trends with regard to developments at 2050cards. We are exploring WebFlow, a web design platform with extraordinary possibilities. We have created a staging site, and have introduced two factor authentication so that customer data is secure.

What is possible on the internet is changing day by day.

10. Build Strategic Partnerships

Sentio Space started working on 2050cards as an idea developed within the organisation. It then spawned off as its own entity.

The two brands build now alongside one another, both innovating and providing insights back and forth.
